As you probably remember, the last episode of Game of Thrones Season 7 left your favorite GoT characters powerless against the Army of the Dead, who broke the Wall to enter the Kingdom of the Seven Crowns. The successful saga returns April 14, 2019 on HBO to the delight of fans.
Adapted from the novels written by George R.R Martin, the Game of Thrones series has been emulated since its launch in April 2011 on the American channel HBO. According to the latter, Game of Thrones has also become in June 2014 the most popular series in its history with 18.4 million viewers average, ahead of Soprano, which held the record since 2002.
On the April 15, fans of the cult series will find Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright), Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), Cercei Lannister (Lena Headey), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) and Brienne of Torth (Gwendoline Christie).
What will happen in this 8th season of Game of Thrones?
The end of Game of Thrones promises to be epic. Which characters will still be alive by the last scene of the series? A good one who can predict the outcome. On the other hand, what is certain is that no character is immune. As revealed in the trailer for the 8th season, Arya Stark, chased by a terrifying and invisible threat, is more than ever in danger as white marchers prepare to attack the North and her Night Watch. And it is in Winterfell that Daenerys and Jon Snow prepare their defense. Indeed, one sees them welcomed in the family field of Stark by Sensa Stark.
The Entertainment Weekly site reports that "Season 8 begins with an episode that contains many reminders to the pilot of the series. Instead of King Robert's procession, it's Daenerys and his army." Just like Maisie Williams, who plays the young Arya Stark, you'll probably want to see Season 1 again after this episode. If the main characters of the series should move to meet in this appetizer of the 8th season, no direct confrontation is expected in this episode.
Reunions and duels in Game of Thrones
Separated since the first season, John Snow and Arya Stark will finally meet again. It is the same for Sansa and her former husband Tyrion. Beric Dondarrion and Sandore Clegan also promise us a colorful duel just as Jaime Lannister and Brienne de Torth, who had yet helped each other in the past.
How will Daenerys react when she learns that she lost one of her dragons to the enemy's hands and that the enemy was used by the army of the Night King to cross the Wall ?
Duration of each episode of Game of Thrones
Announced as the last season of GoT, this 8th and final season will not be like the others. Only six episodes will compose it. But rest assured, if the first two episodes will span 54 to 58 minutes, the fourth will be 60 minutes. When in episode 5, it will last 1h18. Finally, episodes 7 and 8 will last for 1h20. Real movies!
